I have been involved in music and theater most of my life. I studied in the United States, and later in the United Kingdom. I have directed both church and civic choirs, and led the International Choir and Orchestra of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam as Artistic Director from 2007 to 2016.
I have led the choir through many forms of musical programs, from dinner concerts of Broadway show tunes, to Vietnam’s first Christmas concert in a church by a foreign group since 1975. The majority of music performed by the choir and orchestra is from the classical repertoire and has included pieces by Mozart, Haydn, Handel, Vivaldi, Faure, as well as introducing the choir and audiences to a number of modern composers.
I brought the first full scale Broadway production, Annie Get Your Gun to Vietnam, and also directed the musical adaption of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, Jason Robert Brown’s The Last 5 Years. and most recently, Norman/Simon's The Secret Garden.
